Belgian choreographer Thierry Smits offers a choreographic master workshop for professionals dance artists, choreographers 16-18th June at the Zagreb Dance Centre, Ilica 10.

Thierry will propose bits of material and will ask the dancers to transform it. From there, he will give tools to build short compositions where notions of space and rhythm will interfere.

The master workshop can accept up to 12 participants and each workshop is up to 5 hours duration. The workshop aims to facilitate exchange of choreographic dialogue through shared experiences, as well as to inform and introduce to participants some of the core principles of choreographic process by this world acknowledged, awarded dance artist.

Thierry Smits has developed his riveting choreographic practice and expression evolving from the position of exceptional dancer to his current role as acclaimed dance maker noted for the richness of his vocabulary, minute sense of detail and particular, strong political voice reflecting issues that the world faces today in inspirational dialogue with other art forms and disciplines.
